Jewelry Care & Warranty

Jewelry Care & Warranty

At Red Art Tattoo & Piercing Studio, we proudly carry high-quality body jewelry from trusted manufacturers designed for long-term wear. While quality jewelry is built to last, regular maintenance and proper handling are essential to keeping your jewelry secure, comfortable, and looking its best.

Threadless (Press-Fit) Jewelry

Threadless jewelry, or "press-fit jewelry," works by using a slightly bent pin that creates tension inside the post to hold the end securely in place.

While threadless jewelry is very secure when properly installed, it can occasionally loosen over time through daily wear and/or snagging on things.

We strongly encourage clients to routinely check their threadless jewelry for security.

If your jewelry becomes snagged or feels loose:

• Wash your hands thoroughly.
• Carefully push the decorative end and post firmly back together.
• If needed, slightly bend the pin before reinserting it to increase tension and improve security.

Threaded Jewelry

Threaded jewelry relies on an end being screwed into place.

Over time, normal movement and daily activities can cause threaded jewelry to loosen.

We strongly recommend with clean hands, regularly checking that threaded ends are fully tightened.

Remember: Righty tighty, lefty loosy and do not do this over any sinks or drains!

Jewelry Loss Policy

All body jewelry, regardless of manufacturer, style, or attachment method, can potentially loosen or be lost through everyday wear.

Clients are responsible for routinely checking their jewelry and ensuring it remains secure.

Red Art Tattoo & Piercing Studio is not responsible for lost jewelry and is unable to replace, refund, or reimburse jewelry that becomes lost for any reason.

We encourage clients to contact us if they have concerns about the fit or security of a piece.

Jewelry Warranty

Some of the jewelry manufacturers we carry offer limited warranties against defects in craftsmanship. Depending on the manufacturer and circumstances, they may choose to repair, replace, or offer credit for qualifying issues (or none of the prior).

Examples may include:

• A gemstone that falls out
• A visibly cracked gemstone
• Loose or improperly set stones
• A broken threadless pin connection

Warranty coverage varies significantly between manufacturers, and approval is never guaranteed.

If you believe your jewelry may qualify for warranty consideration, please contact Red Art Tattoo & Piercing Studio directly. We will inspect the jewelry and communicate with the manufacturer if applicable.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, overly bent pins, scratches, dents, lost jewelry, snagging, improper installation or removal, misuse, or damage are generally not covered under manufacturer warranties.
